In an emergency, call 911.

Before you meet

• Look at the person's profile: photo, verified badge, how long they've been a member, how many times they've helped.
• Keep the conversation in the app chat until you've accepted a helper.
• Share your plans with a friend or family member.
• You never have to share your exact address in a public post. Share it only in the private chat with the helper you accept.

When you meet

• Meet in public or at a front door when possible.
• Trust your instincts - if something feels off, leave. You can cancel at any time.
• Never hand over money, cards, passwords or medication you didn't plan to.

After

• Mark the help complete so hours are counted.
• Say thank you - it matters.
• If anything went wrong, report it from the person's profile or the chat menu, or email safety@goodsamaritanapp.com.

Blocking

Blocking someone hides your posts from each other and stops them messaging you. They aren't told.
