Child Safety Standards
Effective October 6, 2026
Good Samaritan is a neighbor-to-neighbor app for adults. You must be 18 or older to create an account, and we confirm this at sign up.
Zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation
We do not allow any content or behavior that sexually exploits, abuses or endangers children. This includes child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sextortion, sexualized comments about minors, trafficking, and any attempt to contact, meet or arrange access to a minor for harm. This applies to posts, photos, profiles, comments and private chats.
What we do when we find it
- We remove the content and permanently ban the account.
- We report apparent CSAM and child exploitation to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) through its CyberTipline, as US law requires, and we cooperate with law enforcement.
- We preserve the information the law requires us to keep for investigators.
How to report
- In the app: open the person's profile, the post, or the chat menu and choose Report. Reports go to our moderation team for review.
- By email: safety@goodsamaritanapp.com. Put "Child safety" in the subject line and we will treat it as urgent.
- If a child is in immediate danger, call 911 first.
- You can also report directly to NCMEC at report.cybertip.org or 1-800-843-5678.
